What is the Madison Locations, Inc. Affiliate Program?

The Madison Locations, Inc. Affiliate Program will pay you every time you refer a sale to Madisonlocations.com. Joining the Affiliate Program is not only an easy way to make money, but a way to share our unique service with your visitors, customers, colleagues, friends, family and whoever else you happen to connect with.

How do I get started with the affiliate program?

It's a simple three-step process:

 

1. Sign up for the affiliate program here.

 

2. Download and print the IRS form W-9 here and send us a copy P.O. Box 50127, Pasadena CA 91115. Please make sure to complete the form and sign at the bottom. (Any tax obligation on commissions paid to you will be your responsibility.)

 

3. Confirm your account registration through the email sent to you and login.

 

When you login you will be taken to the "My Account" page which will display two sections for affiliates: "My Commissions" and "My Affiliate Information". In the first section your referrals and commissions will be tracked and payments to you will be displayed. In the "My Affiliate Information" section you will see your affiliate id (5 digit number) and the various links and images you can apply to your website and emails.

Can I participate if I live outside the U.S.?
Yes, any site is eligible to participate in The Madison Locations, Inc. Affiliate Program, but our website is only available in English. Also, commission payments for affiliates will be made in U.S. dollars only.

Why do I have to provide a IRS form W-9?
We need this information for tax filing purposes. If you are an individual (as opposed to a business/corporation), we need you to complete the IRS form W-9 here which requires your Social Security number. If your calendar-year commissions exceed $600, Madison Locations, Inc. must issue you a Form 1099MISC at the end of the calendar year that must be filed with Form 1040.

Does my Web site qualify for the Madison Locations, Inc. Affiliate Program?
Anyone can apply for the program. However, Madison Locations, Inc. reserves the right to refuse any site, especially if it contains unsuitable material. Web sites that would violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right; encourage illegal activity or racism; or feature hard liquor, tobacco products, gambling, or materials, products, or services related to pornography will be deemed unacceptable for the Madison Locations, Inc. Affiliate Program.

I don't have a Web site. Can I still apply to be an affiliate and refer sales to clients or people I know?

Commission Fees and Payment

How does Madison Locations, Inc. track members coming from my Web site?
Madison Locations, Inc. uses custom software designed specifically for us to track members with a "cookie" placed electronically in the referrals computer. This will track each referral sent from you.

What is the Madison Locations, Inc. cookie and how long does it last?
The Madison Locations, Inc. cookie, a small file stored on the computer of somebody that clicks your affiliate link, from either a banner image or text link from your website. This link can also be included in your emails as a "signature". Normally the "cookie" will last for 30 days. That means that if somebody clicks on your link and doesn't buy right away, they will have a cookie with your referral ID on their computer, so if they buy within the next three months, you will get credit.

 

When and how do I get paid?

You will earn referral fees based on the sale price of products sold on the Madisonlocations.com site according to the fee schedule we establish. All commission payments are paid to you using PayPal electronic payment system. You must have a PayPal account to be paid through Madisonlocations.com.

Commission funds are deposited within 35 days of the end of each month.

"Sale price" means the price shown on our site at the time of purchase and excludes, if applicable, sales taxes. Referral fees will be calculated each calendar month. Referral commissions amounts are subject to change without notice.

Login to your account and look for the section named “My Affiliate Information”. In this section we will provide you with your unique linking options and your Affiliate ID.

May I link to Madison Locations, Inc. from more than one Web site?
Yes. You are welcome to link to Madison Locations, Inc. from multiple Web sites, as long as none of the sites violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right; encourages illegal activity or racism; or features hard liquor, tobacco products, gambling, or materials, products, or services related to pornography.


Making money with my Madison Locations, Inc. Affiliate Account

How can I promote Madison Locations, Inc.?
Madison Locations, Inc. will provide banners, buttons, and text links that you can use on your site. Text links and images are found in the "My Account" section of Madisonlocations.com under the "My Affiliate Information" section of My Account. In addition to your Web site, you may promote Madison Locations, Inc. through an opt-in emailing list. You can also promote Madison Locations, Inc., by word-of-mouth through our Person-to-Person program (see below).

How does the Person-to-Person program work?
The Person-to-Person program was created so that people can use your affiliate ID with Madison Locations, Inc. with their clients, colleagues, friends or family and be rewarded for their efforts. This program requires that referred orders are entered using the "Affiliate ID" you are assigned when you join the program. Simply tell the customers your Affiliate ID and have them enter your Affiliate ID code in the "coupon/affiliate id code" at the bottom of the product selection page. This is the first page a property owner will see during the checkout process on our website.

How can I change my affiliate account information?
Simply login to your account, choose the "Edit My Contact Information" link located in the "Control Panel" section of the "My Account" page.

Promoting My Web Site

Can I change or personalize the images provided by Madison Locations, Inc.?
No. It is not permissible to change or personalize any Madison Locations, Inc. images. You can, however, borrow text from the Madison Locations, Inc. website.

Can I use Madison Locations, Inc. in my URL or in the name of my site?
No. The use of Madison Locations, Inc. or any variation thereof in your URL or in the name of your site will be cause for your immediate dismissal from the affiliate program. In such a case when you breach the affiliate agreement, you thereby forfeit any earned commissions.

What kind of advertising can I do?
Be creative - write a newsletter for visitors to your site, write a testimonial about Madison Locations, Inc., write an article. Note that you may use any copy on www.madisonlocations.com.

You need written approval from Madison Locations, Inc. to purchase advertising for our product anywhere online or offline. If you want to purchase pay-per-click ads on search engines such as Google or Yahoo, that is allowed, but you cannot use the Madisonlocations.com url (www.madisonlocations.com) in your ad or represent yourself as part of Madison Locations, Inc.

What kind of advertising is prohibited?
You cannot send unsolicited email (aka spam) in any way. There will be no leniency in cases of unsolicited email, and affiliates in violation of this policy will forfeit their commissions and be removed from the program.

Can I issue a press release or other kind of announcement regarding my affiliation with Madison Locations, Inc.?
No. Madison Locations, Inc. will author and issue any announcements to the media. Please contact us for more information.
